How to Say “Eyjafjallajokull”

Recently the Daily Show (Starting at 1:30) ran a small bit highlighting the different interpretations on how to pronounce Eyjafjallajokull, the name of the Icelandic volcano whose ash cloud left many travelers around the globe, particularly in Europe, stranded. It seems most people are content with referring to it as the “Icelandic volcano.”

Thanks to Dr. Robert D. Fulk, an IU English professor specializing in Old English and Old Icelandic, you can hear the correct pronunciation of Eyjafjallajokull.
