Denmark Leads the Way in Digital Care

As Congress has continued to work on health care reform in America, policy makers have continued to look at Denmark’s health care system as model to emulate. Many recent studies have concluded that the Dane’s health care system is the most efficient in the world, saving doctors over 50 minutes of administrative work per day. This efficiency is facilitated by the cutting edge digital care that Denmark began investing in a decade ago focusing on digitized medical records, digitized¬† prescriptions, and “telemedicine” (medical examinations via webcam). However, health care experts have seemed to disagree about which aspects of Danish health care America can draw from due to differences in population and cultural homogeneity.

    This is another thing to gain popularity for Denmark.
